Norman Denzin and Yvonna Lincoln to Speak at Texas Collaborative for Critical Qualitative Inquiry

UNT faculty and graduate students are invited to an all-day seminar, sponsored by the Velma E. Schmidt Endowment, that will be held on Friday, February 24, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Silver Eagle Suite, Student Union. Major speakers will be Norman K. Denzin, Sociology, University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana, whose topic is Revisiting the Qualitative Manifesto, and Yvonna S. Lincoln, Education, Texas A&M University, College Station, whose topic is Conflict in the Offing:  Critical Social Science in the Corporatized University. Panel discussants will include Douglas Foley, Cultural Studies, University of Texas, and Fran Huckaby, Education, Texas Christian University.

Organizer of the lecture series is Professor Gaile Cannella, who holds the Velma Schmidt Endowed Chair in the Department of Teacher Education and Administration in the College of Education.
