Limited Submission Internal Competitions
The funding opportunities listed below differ from other opportunities in that UNT may submit only a limited number of proposals in response to each sponsor’s solicitation. In such cases, the Office of Research Services (ORS) conducts an internal competition. Announcements are sent to the respective Chairs and Associate Deans of each school or college. Full details for participating in the internal competition and the deadline are contained in each announcement. Internal review criteria parallel agency evaluation criteria.
Internal applications should be submitted to Sarah Sprinkle, Administrative Services Officer , Office of the VP for Research and Economic Development, at Sarah.Sprinkle@unt.edu. Immediately after each deadline, a review panel with appropriate expertise is convened. ORS notifies the faculty of the review panel’s recommendations and assigns a Research Administrator to work with chosen faculty throughout the final proposal process.
