All UNT researchers are invited to participate in our Building the Research Enterprise and Knowledge Series (BREAKS) every third Thursday of the month. Each session will be led by a topic expert in the field in order to elevate best practices, while answering some of the most frequently asked questions by UNT researchers related to the topic. These hour-long discussions are a comfortable conversation where no question is too basic, too simple, or too complicated.    Topic:  In this research breaks discussion we will provide information on the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) program to faculty mentors. The purpose of the GRFP is to help ensure the quality, vitality, and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce of the United States. The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing full-time research-based master's and doctoral degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) or in STEM education. After an overview of the program, Dr. Joseph Oppong will share his expertise and tips on how to recruit, facilitate and mentor exceptional students in preparation for the GRFP program application.    Audience: All faculty researchers who are interested in helping their students apply for a receive the NSF GRFP Award   Presenters: Naomi Wood, Dr. Aaron Roberts from the Division of Research and Innovation, and Dr. Joseph Oppong, Academic Associate Vice Provost & Academic Associate Dean of the Toulouse Graduate School
