The Division of Research and Innovation is partnered with the distinguished AtKisson Training Group LLC, which is focused on proposal preparation and review processes that lead to increased external funding submission success. This research development faculty training is designed to convey the fundamentals of proposal writing, concrete tips, and operational strategies. The session combines a lecture format with engagement activities to fit the range of potential funding targets identified by UNT. The targeted learning outcomes include: 

 

  • Understanding the preparation steps before beginning the writing process; 
  • Learning techniques for creating a strong argument for the proposed project; 
  • Developing techniques for communicating the approach clearly; and 
  • Understanding how these techniques connect to the process by which a grant proposal is reviewed. 

Integrated into all sessions are ways to make the proposal process part of the everyday academic process and how to strategically plan for longer-term funding. 

 

Event will be held on Zoom from Monday, November 30, to Thursday, December 3, from 1PM to 3 PM each day. Registration is required for this event; registering is a commitment to all four days. Limited to the first 100 registrants. Zoom link will be provided after registration.
