DeeAnna Browning

DeeAnna Browning serves as the Associate Vice President for Grants & Contracts Administration (GCA), providing strategic leadership for the university's sponsored projects administration and research compliance functions. This role oversees institutional compliance with federal and state reporting requirements, including Section 117 foreign gift reporting and alignment with Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) GA-48 requirements. Working closely with faculty and academic units, DeeAnna Browning supports the entire sponsored research lifecycle from proposal development and award acceptance to post-award administration and financial management while leading a team of research administration professionals specializing in pre-award services, contract negotiation, and post-award accounting and administration.

She has been at UNT since 2011 and has served in several roles in DRI and across campus.
