Imelda is responsible for following duties:
Performs research animal husbandry on daily basis
Assists researchers in their study with the utmost quality care.
Maintains animal care record and animal room information and communicates laboratory conditions to appropriate staff.
Assists and performs veterinary procedures directed by attending veterinarian.
Provides basic training to all personnel working with laboratory animals.
Review all live-vertebrae animals purchase at University of North Texas
Maintaining the vivarium up to the required standard and inspections.
Serves as a voting member in the UNT IACUC
