What is Strategic Research Initiatives?

SRI includes strategic endeavors to help researchers at the University of North Texas seek and secure external funding, build interdisciplinary teams, and liaison between different units on campus to build better proposals. Some of the resources include:

  • Conduct relevant workshops
  • Manage the limited submissions process
  • Provide technical editing support on proposals
  • Connect researchers to each other

A limited submission is a type of funding opportunity in which the sponsor restricts the number of applications that can be submitted by an institution.
