CMEE is a multidisciplinary College of Engineering and College of Science Center under the purview of the Vice President for Research and Innovation, dedicated to developing next-generation semiconductors and electronic materials with an emphasis on performance in extreme environments, and workforce development to meet the semiconductor sector needs.
We leverage advanced simulation and modeling to innovate and optimize semiconductor materials and device design.
Congratulations to Dr. Jens Neu, who received the Young Scientist Award of the International Society of Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves (IRMMW-THz).
The IRMMW-THz is the largest society dedicated to the dissemination and exchange of scientific and technical knowledge in the areas and disciplines involving infrared, millimeter, and terahertz waves. The Young Scientist Award is an annual recognition of interdisciplinary, outstanding scientific contributions to the field of IRMMW-THz research by a young scientist. The 2026 Young Scientist Award recognizes Dr. Jens Neu’s “interdisciplinary and THz work on understanding novel materials for solar applications”. Dr. Neu is a member of CMEE and an assistant professor of Physics at UNT.
