Keynote Speaker - Alisyn Malek
Alisyn Malek
Alisyn Malek is an Operating Partner at WAVE Ventures, where she leverages her extensive
experience in both entrepreneurship and strategic investment to support the firm’s
portfolio companies. Alisyn leads the establishment of WAVE Ventures Studio operations
at universities to build deep tech startups leveraging their research IP. With a
robust background in scaling technology-driven startups, Alisyn has a keen understanding
of the challenges and opportunities that entrepreneurs face in today’s dynamic market.
Before joining WAVE, Alisyn co-founded multiple successful ventures, guiding them from inception to growth stages, including the AV unicorn May Mobility. Her operational expertise is complemented by a strong focus on team development and strategic partnerships, enabling her to drive impactful results. Passionate about fostering innovation, Alisyn is dedicated to helping founders hone their vision while navigating the complexities of their industries.
In addition to her experience launching startups, Alisyn has automotive industry experience starting as an electrical engineer and transitioning into venture where she sourced the largest acquisition in General Motor’s history in Cruise Automation. Alisyn holds an MBA from Kelley School of Business as well as two engineering degrees from the University of Michigan, equipping her with the strategic acumen needed to navigate the fast-paced world of venture capital.
