Proposed January 2024 changes to the National Science Foundation Proposal & Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) include alignment with the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) and Science Act of 2022. Under this act, parties to Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs from a country of concern are ineligible to serve as senior personnel. PIs and co-PIs/senior personnel will be requirement to certify annually during the life of the award via the UNT International Affiliations disclosure.
