Institutes of Research Excellence
The Institutes of Research Excellence bring together a critical mass of knowledge and faculty collaborating on projects designed to create a stronger platform for interdisciplinary research and partnerships with industry to create solutions and further contribute to the North Texas region’s economic growth.
University Managed Facilities
University-managed facilities are labs, equipment, space, and technology — any kind of infrastructure — that enable faculty, students, and external research partners to conduct high-level, solutions-based research in key areas.
Center for Agile and Adaptive Additive Manufacturing (CAAAM)
The Additive Manufacturing Laboratory is a comprehensive and centralized facility, bringing together both types of additive manufacturing — laser powder bed fusion (LENS 750), also referred to as selective laser melting, and laser-based directed energy deposition (Aconity MIDI).
Collaborative Research Units
Collaborative research units are multidisciplinary research teams working together on challenging issues necessary to find solutions that meet societal needs.
