Mary Ann Pyron serves as a Senior Grant and Contract Account Analyst for the Division of Research and Innovation. In this role, she is responsible for administering highly complex research grant awards and budgets to maintain fiscal compliance, while working with the campus administrators to develop, maintain and implement good internal reporting and analysis tools for the management of projects.

Prior to joining UNT, Mary Ann spent five years as a Grant Management Specialist for the U.S. Small Business Administration, where she played a pivotal role in managing COVID relief efforts. With decades of financial experience, she brings a wealth of expertise in grant administration, financial analysis, and strategic planning.

Beyond her professional achievements, Mary Ann is deeply committed to disability advocacy. Inspired by her son Blake, who lives with Down Syndrome, she works tirelessly to promote inclusion and awareness. Additionally, Mary Ann is an accomplished marathon runner, using her athletic endeavors to raise funds and awareness for causes close to her heart.
