Tori Smith

Victoria “Tori” Smith serves as Senior Director of Budget and Operations for the Division of Research & Innovation at the University of North Texas. She provides strategic oversight of all division budgetary and personnel operations and leads the division’s budgeting team staff. The team is responsible for managing financial activities across the research division, excluding sponsored research grants, which are managed by the Grants and Contracts Administration unit.

In 2017, Tori joined UNT and the Division of Research & Innovation and has extensive work experience in higher education business operations after working at several universities in her career. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Nicholls State University and a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University, with concentrations in Business Administration, Public Administration, and Mass Communications.
