Research on Tap is a monthly speaker series bringing UNT researchers to give micro-talks on timely and interesting topics. Come hear about exciting research and stick around for beverages and lively discussion with colleagues and friends.   Topic: What Do Ducks, Diapers and Rubber Bands Have in Common?   Guest Speaker: Dr. Melanie Ecker, Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering, College of Engineering   About Dr. Ecker: Dr. Ecker's research focuses on Smart Polymers for Biomedical Applications. The research interests of our lab lie in polymer science and biomedical engineering. They look to combine both fields to develop biomedical devices, such as: conformal and biocompatible neural devices to study the electrophysiology of the enteric nervous system responsive polymeric biomaterials for wound healing and shape memory polymer bandages to prevent of Colonic Anastomotic Leak.   Facebook Live Link: https://www.facebook.com/UNTResearch
