All UNT researchers are invited to participate in our Building the Research Enterprise and Knowledge Series (BREAKS) every third Thursday of the month. Each session will be led by a topic expert in the field in order to elevate best practices, while answering some of the most frequently asked questions by UNT researchers related to the topic. These hour-long discussions are a comfortable conversation where no question is too basic, too simple, or too complicated.

Topic: On November 4th, the US Department of Defense issued version 2 of it’s CMMC security protocols. After almost a year of comprehensive edits and suggestions, this new protocol will be required for all DOD researchers working with Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and to a lesser extent, an Federal Contact Information (FCI).  This protocol will likely be picked up by other federal research sponsors.

Audience: For all current and future federally sponsored principial investigators intending to work now or in the future with CUI or FCI data.

Presenters: Vice President of Research, Mark McLellan & Chief Information Security Officer Charlotte Russell from the UNT system
