Brint Ryan College of Business Description: In 2021, an estimated 28 million individuals worldwide were trapped in forced labor, a form of human trafficking, and compelled to work or perform services through force, fraud, or coercion. Dr. Giddens’ research, funded by the National Science Foundation, explores the role of technology in facilitating, detecting, and disrupting human trafficking networks.
